Saundra Cecilia Zannino Starkey

Saundra Cecilia Starkey, 78, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at her residence.

She was born in Clarksburg, on February 7, 1948, a daughter of the late Sam and Christine Helen Douchinsy Zannino.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Starkey. Also preceding her in death was a half-brother, Pat Webster.

Mrs. Starkey is survived by her sons, Joseph Starkey and his wife Sarah of Clarksburg, and Robert Starkey of Clarksburg, and her daughter, Helena Thomas of Clarksburg. She was grandmother to eight grandchildren, Sam Starkey, Ava Starkey, Derek Starkey, Mariah Vu, Woody Goreman, Lauren Starkey-Garcia, Joseph Starkey, and Nikita Watts.

Saundra was Catholic by faith. She previously worked for the Department of Health and Human Resources in Accounting, and was the Office Manager of Starkey’s Refrigeration and AC.

Saundra loved feeding and watching the birds and squirrels. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and making Christmas cookies.

Honoring her wishes, Mrs. Starkey will be cremated.
