Melissa Jane "Missy" Six Hardman

Melissa Jane “Missy” Hardman, 61, of Sardis passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born in Clarksburg on June 4, 1965, a daughter of the late James and Mildred Mercandino Six.

She is survived by her husband, Stanley Hardman, whom she married on October 19, 1991.

Also surviving are two daughters, Marissa Hardman of Sardis and Rebecca Phares (James) of Salem; three grandchildren, McKenna Cain, Gabriel Phares and Elias Phares; one brother, John Alan Six of Sardis; and two sisters, Beverly Plaugher of Clarksburg and Darlene Gillespie of Sardis.

Melissa loved her dogs, Rokkeigh and Moocha and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

In keeping with her wishes, Melissa will be cremated.
