June 23, 1949 - July 17, 2026 Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Sunday, July 26 at from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm where funeral services will be held at 5:00 pm with Pastor Dave Snyder officiating. Honoring his wishes he will be cremated following the service. Harold Wayne “Hoopie” Davis 77, of Quiet Dell, West Virginia went to be with his heavenly father Thursday, July 17, 2026 surrounded by his loving wife and children. He was born in Clarksburg, WV June 23, 1949 son of Cumberland “Cummy” and Juanita (Gainer) Davis. Harold is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years Karen (Fowler) Davis; children Angie Insani and husband RJ of Clarksburg, Tamie Lynch and husband Rob of Mount Clare, Trevor Davis and wife Kelly of Concord, NC; grandchildren Madison and Mason Lynch, Kristin Armistead and husband Justin, Olivia Perske and husband Tyler, Peyton and Aaron Insani, Nolan and Landri Davis; several great grandchildren; sister Donna Moore and husband Lowell of Pifer Mountain, brother-in-law Don Fowler and wife Linda of Clarksburg; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Ronald G. Davis. Harold graduated from Roosevelt Wilson High School in 1967. He worked various jobs. A kind man and great example of how a husband, father, and friend should be. He loved He had several interests including woodworking, fishing, hunting, golfing, bowling, farming, gardening, and beekeeping. He was an avid sports fan, especially of West Virginia University’s teams. He enjoyed spending quiet evenings at home, in his recliner watching reruns of Dr. Pol, NCIS, Bull, Law & Order, and M.A.S.H. Harold wanted to be remembered, “as a good person”, who helped raise kind and caring children. His love for the Lord was apparent, and it was the Lord’s love that guided him home. He attended Quiet Dell Community Church. His family and friends will forever miss him. We will cherish the memories we have of Our family wishes to thank our friends for their continued prayers and support and his doctors, nurses, and staff at United Hospital Center, 7th Floor Intermediate and 6th Floor North for the care and compassion you showed to Harold and our family through this heartbreaking time. A special thank you to Dr. Kelly Nelson, who over the years cared for Harold through all his illnesses.
