Juan C. Schmidt

Juan C. Schmidt, 87, of Clarksburg passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2026.

He was born in Clarksburg on November 9, 1938, a son of the late Harry Albert and Ruth Gertrude Hacker Schmidt.

He is survived by his brother, Henry Schmidt (Karen) of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his half brothers, Robert Funk,
James Funk and Donald Funk.

Juan was a 1956 graduate of Notre Dame high school. He was an avid collector of coins and stamps and a huge baseball fan.

The family would like to extend special gratitude to cherished niece Debbie Nutter for her care and concern for Juan throughout the years.

In keeping with his wishes Juan was cremated.
