Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Tuesday from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, where Catholic Funeral Rites will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 10:00 am with Father Freddie D’Souza presiding.

In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Oliverio will be cremated following the service.

John “Boogie” Oliverio, Jr., 76, of Clarksburg passed way on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 in the United Hospital Center.

He was born in Clarksburg on May 3, 1950, a son of the late John Oliverio, Sr. and Rose Roda Oliverio.

He is survived by his wife, Sally Rebrook Oliverio, whom he married on February 7, 1975.

Also surviving are one son, John Oliverio, III of Clarksburg; two daughters, Andrea Oliverio of Clarksburg and Megan Oliverio and her significant other, Cory Bridges; nine grandchildren, C. J. King, Diondre McHoney, Jalen Bridges (Maddox), Kiaira Oliverio, Kamrin Oliverio, Khloe Oliverio, Allie Channell, Airiella Oliverio and Calionna Oliverio; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Constance Sivillo and Mary Jo Beto.

Mr. Oliverio was a graduate of General Motors Academy and an automobile salesman having retired after 50 years of service. He was catholic by faith and a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

He loved NASCAR racing. He was a well-known drag racer and was a member of the West Virginia Drag Racing Hall of Fame at Eldora Raceway in Fairmont. Mostly he loved watching his grandchildren playing sports.
