Karleen Marie "Kaye" D'Anselmi Reid

Karleen Marie “Kaye” Reid, 72, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Clarksburg, on May 27, 1954, a daughter of the late Karl and Viola Jean DeMaria D’Anselmi.

Kaye is survived by her son, David “D.J.” Reid and his wife Kathryn of Hillsboro, VA; two grandchildren, Madeline “Maddie” Reid and Josephine “JoJo” Reid; as well as many cousins.

She is also survived by her longtime companion, John Ash, of Fairmont.

Kaye was a graduate of Victory High School and went on to earn a degree as a Registered Nurse and retired from United Hospital Center with 40 years of service in the Pediatrics Department.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish where she participated with the Parish Nurses Ministry and was a member of the Nightingales. She was always there with a helping hand for anyone in need. She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. where there will be a Nightingale Service at 7:00 p.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. to conclude the visitation.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 126 East Pike Street, Clarksburg, with Father Freddie D’Souza as celebrant. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
