Jimmy Richard Asher, 83, of Mount Clare passed away at his residence on September 8, 2026. Jimmy was born in Clarksburg, WV on September 13, 1942, son of the late Donald and Thelma Starkey Asher. He was married in 1962 to his wife, Sherry M. Jones Asher, who preceded him in death on July 13, 2021. He is survived by one son, Michael R. Asher and companion Debbie Lavezza of Clarksburg; granddaughter, Isabella A. Asher of Chub Run, and one sister, Linda Whyte of Wheeling, WV, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of Roosevelt Wilson High School, class of 1960. He began working in 1965 as property manager for C&P Telephone Company and retired from Verizon. Following retirement, he continued to be active and continued working for USPS, Salem International, and FedEx. He served our country as a Veteran in the United States Army. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.
