James Lee Brosius, 86, of Morgantown passed away at his residence on September 28, 2026. James was born in Clarksburg, WV on November 30, 1939, son of the late James D. and Murriell Brosius.
Twice married, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet Long Brosius who passed away April 16, 2016, and his second wife Madena Brosius who passed on June 26, 2024.
James is survived by one son, Thomas James Brosius and wife Aleta of Clarksburg; three grandchildren, Jordan Brosius, Kalla Marple and Kristofer Marple; two step grandchildren, Anna Riffle and Kylie Riffle; four great grandchildren, Morgan Marple, Liam Courtney, Nera Brosius and Persephone Brosius.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Tamra Marple.
He served our country as a Veteran in the United States Navy during the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street Nutter Fort, on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm, where the funeral service will be held on Monday October 5, 2026, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery with full Military Honors.
