Elizabeth Wilson Floyd Queen, 77, of Buckhannon, WV, passed away in the St. Joseph’s Hospital on Monday, January 15, 2024. Mrs. Queen was born in Clarksburg, WV on June 15, 1946, a daughter of the late Fred and Xenia Mowrey Wilson. She is survived by her son, Neil Floyd of TX; sister, Mary Peasak and her husband Emil of Bridgeport; brother, Jim Wilson and his wife Judy of Barrackville; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gary Floyd; second husband, Jim Queen; and her son, Scott Floyd. Elizabeth was a graduate of Washington-Irving High School. She spent her career as the owner and operator of a variety store and restaurant alongside her first husband, Gary, in Tennerton, WV. After closing her restaurant, she continued working in various other restaurants until her retirement. In her spare time, she loved gardening and sewing and had many other hobbies she enjoyed. In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Queen will be cremated. Inurnment will be at the Queen family cemetery.
