Burial Date: June 21, 2019 Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 pm to conclude the visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 10:00 am in the All Saints Catholic Church with Father Benedict Kapa as Celebrant. Interment will be int eh WV National Cemetery. |

Clyde Edward Thomas, 70, of Shinnston, WV passed away Saturday June 15 at the VA Hospital in Pittsburgh after a brief illness.
He was born in Mt. Morris, PA on December 20, 1948 the son of the late Chester and Lucille Thomas. He is survived by his wife JoAnne, who married him on July 3, 2010
.
Also surviving are his brothers Dave Thomas and wife Gladys, Larry Thomas and wife Linda, Joe Thomas and wife Phyllis, along with his brother Dennis Thomas; in addition to many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Clyde “Eddie” Thomas graduated from Waynesburg High School in PA in 1967 where he was an outstanding athlete. He was a proud Marine who served during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed a long career at Pepsi Cola and then connected with thousands of customers through Star Motor. Clyde also traveled the NASCAR circuit as a vendor with CT’s Sirloin Beef Tips.
He was a member of the Marine Corps Leagues, Harrison County Honor Guard, and VFW #573. Clyde made friends wherever he went.
