Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison St, Nutter Fort on Sunday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm where funeral services will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 1:30 pm with Reverend Joy Butcher-Winfree officiating. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Assoc., 7272 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75231 or to the ALS Association, Gift Processing Center, PO Box 37022, Boone, IA 50037-0022.

Sidney L. Jett, 91, of Lost Creek, WV, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at the West Virginia Veterans Nursing Facility in Clarksburg.
He was born on May 26, 1934, in Harrisville, WV, a son of the late Alma Lambert Davis and her husband John L.
He married Mary Teresa Conch Jett on November 19, 1955, who preceded him in death on July 13, 2006, after 50 years together. Sidney passed away on what would have been their 70th wedding anniversary.
Surviving Sidney are two sons, Bradford L. Jett and wife June of Clarksburg, and Sidney “Joe” Jett and wife Anne of Lost Creek; one daughter, Beth L. Jett-Bosley and husband Steve of Elkridge, MD; one brother, John Jett and wife Marolyn of North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Jared Bosley (Erin), Elizabeth Peck (Michael), Brianna Jones (Mark), Stacy Groves (Josh), Kayla Vincent (Tyler), Jonathan Jett (Chelsea), and Miranda Ford (Austin), 19 great grandchildren, Emmitt, Sean, Patrick, Cohen, Alexis, Luke, Levi, Bowen, Caelum, Isabella, Abby, Poppy, Daphne, Harrison, Jeremy, Adalyn, Aria, Ryan, and Josephine; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Sidney attended Pennsboro High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and worked as an Installation Manager for AT&T for over 32 years.
He was a member of the West Milford Lions Club, Harrison County Senior Citizens Center, Telephone Pioneers of America, Jane Lew American Legion, and the Clarksburg VFW Post 573.
