There will be a gathering of family and friends at Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. The memorial service will be held at the conclusion of the visitation at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary Smith presiding. Burial will be at the Seventh Day Baptist Cemetery in Lost Creek, at a later date.

Vicki L. Bassel Bartlett, 71, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, at United Hospital Center.

She was born in Clarksburg, WV, on April 17, 1954, a daughter of the late Isaac and Mary Randall Bassell.

Vicki is survived by her daughter Erica Nestor and friend, Kaleigh Wetzel of Clarksburg, and her son Matt Bartlett and his wife Alea of Clarksburg; and four grandchildren, Olivia Poling, Evan Nestor, Lorelei Bartlett, and Natalie Nestor, and a special little boy. She also leaves behind two brothers, Frank Bassel and John Bassel and his wife Dottie; one sister, Debbie Bassel, and one sister-in-law, Noami Bassel, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Carl Bassel, Charles Bassel, Jerome Bassell, Isaac Bassel, James Bassel, and Alvin Bassel and two sisters, Dora Mae Jenkins and Susan Bassel.

Vicki was a graduate of Roosevelt Wilson High School, Class of 1972 and was a Secretary for City Window Construction. She previously worked for J&J Guzzi Enterprises Rock Quarry.

Vicki loved her family and would do anything for her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their special thank you to the CCU nurses, doctors, and staff at United Hospital Center for their kindness and care.

Honoring her wishes, Vicki will be cremated.
