On Saturday February 21, 2021 the world lost a bright light. Angela “Angie” Lynn Walls Tenda, a loving mother of two children passed away unexpectedly at the age of 44. Angie was born December 30, 1976. She is the daughter of Bill and Joyce Ater of Clarksburg, WV. She graduated from Liberty High School with high honors in 1995. She was a member of the Honor Society, and a member of the track team. She attended college at Fairmont State where she majored in Consumer Family Sciences and minored in Secondary education. She graduated college with honors and was inducted into the National Honors Society in 2003. She was employed at Hazelton prison and later the United States Post Office. Angie was to all who knew her “One of a Kind!” She embodied beauty, brains, and heart. She was a free spirit with unlimited potential and determination. If she set out to do it, she would give it her all. You could count on her to jump in and help, no matter the job. She truly had a heart of gold. Family was very important to her. When she loved, she loved with all her heart. She was extremely competitive, especially with her brother Mat. She enjoyed beating him in a demolition derby, in 2000, where she took 2nd place, and he took 3rd. She enjoyed competing with him in demolition derbies for several years. She achieved many things in this life, but there was nothing in this life she loved more than her children. She would agree that they are her greatest contribution to this life. She was a loving mother, whom would have done anything for her children. And will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In keeping with Angie’s loving and giving spirit, it was her decision to donate life so others may live it. Angie gave in death as she gave in life; her heart, kidneys, and liver have helped at least four other people live. She is preceded in death by her brother Timothy Walls, her fraternal grandmother Vonda Walls, her Papsy Robert Herrick, her maternal grandmother Jaunita Vasquez, and several uncles. She leaves behind to cherish her memory two amazing children, Jozlyn and Braden Tenda, her mother and father Bill and Joyce Ater, her brother Mat Walls and his wife Neena, her sister Tammy Davis, her nephews; Brandon Davis, Bentley and Blake Walls, her nieces; Gianna and Gabrielle Tenda, several uncles and aunts, and many friends who loved her like family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all donations be made through Amos Carvelli Funeral Home to go to Angie’s children’s college funds. In keeping with her wishes, Angie will be cremated. Expressions of sympathy may be extended to the family at www.amoscarvelli.com A service of Amos Carvelli Funeral Home.
