Carla Jean Greynolds Emrick, 60, of Farmington, WV, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Canton, OH on August 15, 1965, a daughter of the late Carl C. and Mamie Koch Greynolds.

She married her husband of 38 years, Bruce Alan Emrick, on March 7, 1987, who survives at their home in Farmington.

Also surviving Carla are one daughter, Brittany Dawn Kovack and husband Victor; one son, John Alan Emrick; three grandchildren, Kobe Emrick, Kaylee Kuhens, and Gage Kovack; two brothers, James Robert Greynolds and Jeffrey Alan Greynolds of Clarksburg; one sister, Carol Greynolds of Clarksburg; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her faithful, furry companion, Bella Blu, whom she loved.

In addition to her parents, Carla was preceded in death by an infant brother.

Carla attended Roosevelt Wilson High School. She served the community as a CNA for 30 years having worked at Fairmont Health and Rehabilitation Center, Wishing Well Nursing Facility, and WV Caring Hospice.

Carla loved her job and caring for people in general. She enjoyed spending time in the mountains with her husband and lived everyday for her children and grandchildren. Family meant the world to her.

In keeping with her wishes, Carla will be cremated.

A celebration of life, held at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, will be announced at a later date.
