My family met Diane in the early 70s. She rented an apartment from my aunt and uncle. My sister, Patti and cousin Donna became fast friends with her. Over the years Diane was family to all of us. I’m so sorry The 1970’s were during a time when people still used clotheslines. I was about 10 years old and I recall seeing an animal print lingerie item hanging on the clothesline and I knew it didn’t belong to my aunt Barbara! It belonged to Diane, of course. We are glad her suffering is over and she is with the Lord now. Susan & Jack Selevan

Diane, my dear friend since I was 17 where we met in Florida. I don't have the words to say how much I will miss you, we had such wonderful and crazy times together. Through good times and bad we remained friends to the end. What you dealt with all through your life with health issues over so many years I can't begin to comprehend, but your faith in God stood strong. At least now you are at peace and with our Lord and Savior. Until we meet again my dearest friend...Love Always, Donna Kennedy

We are so sad for the loss of our longtime friend of 54 years, which began upon her move to Florida in the early 1970’s. Diane is considered part of our family and has shared every milestone with us since then, until her move back to West Virginia. There are too many crazy times and adventures to count, yet they will forever be ingrained in my heart and mind. Diane was definitely one of a kind, extremely intelligent, stubborn as a mule and loyal to a fault ( unless you “ticked her off and got her in a bad mood”) of which I can hear her saying as I write. Diane was extremely blessed to have such loving and attentive nieces, Tammy and Kim, her nephew Teddy Winks, as well as her many second and third generation nieces and nephew. I feel I know them all through Diane. Condolences to the entire “Meatball Family” and may Diane rest in peace in the arms of Jesus. I’m sure Anita was waiting with open arms. We love you “D”and you will be greatly missed. Love, Stewart aka “Dew”, Patti aka “P” and Robby aka “LD” 🙏🏼❤️

To Tammy, other family members and all who knew and loved her.. I am so sorry to learn of the passing of Diana, my wonderful friend with whom I shared many conversations, and emails. I pray she went peacefully to her Lord and Savior. She suffered greatly during her time on earth. I shall miss her very much. Mary Sue Clark Spahr

Diana we'll miss you so much. You were such a source of help, comfort and companionship to my mom over the years, and you were the glue that held the greater Oliverio Meatball diaspora together. You helped us all know each other, learn our roots, and tell our stories.
