A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison St, Nutter Fort on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, where a Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm to conclude the gathering. Inurnment will follow at a later date.

Donald M. “Don” Summers, 70, of Mt. Clare, WV, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the Manchin Assisted Living Facility in Bridgeport, surrounded by his wife and daughter.
He was born in Clarksburg on January 18, 1955, a son of the late Howard M. and Maude “Molly” Swartz Summers.
Don is survived by his wife of 35 years, Elizabeth “Libby” Stealey Summers, whom he married on April 7, 1990.
Also surviving Don are his daughter, Molly Rebecca Broadwater of Clarksburg; two brothers, Robert Summers and wife Terry of Virginia and David Summers and wife Margaret of Clarksburg; and two nephews, Gregory Summers of Florida and Bryan Summers of Virginia.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Christopher Broadwater.
Don was a graduate of Washington Irving High School, Class of 1973. He worked for the Clarksburg Water Board for nearly 40 years, retiring as a Plant Superintendent.
Don was an avid golfer and member of Sunny Croft Country Club. He loved hunting, and enjoyed going to the movies with his daughter, and watching sports, football in particular.
In keeping with his wishes, Don will be cremated.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison St, Nutter Fort on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, where a Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm to conclude the gathering.
Inurnment will follow at a later date.
