In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Shipplett will be cremated. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison St, Nutter Fort on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, where a memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm to conclude the gathering with Pastor Jeff Vaughan presiding.

Frederick A. Shipplett, 72, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026, at the United Hospital Center.
He was born on November 15, 1953, in Clarksburg, a son of the late Frederick and Sue Ellen Kidd Shipplett.
Mr. Shipplett married Christie Saffle Shipplett, who preceded him in death on September 13, 2022.
Surviving Fred are one son, Cory Shipplett of Clarksburg; and one daughter, Aimee Nicewarner and husband Jayson of Morgantown.
Mr. Shipplett was a graduate of Victory High School. He worked as a supervisor for AFG Glass Company where he retired with 30 years of service.
Fred was a member of Horizons Church in Lost Creek.
