Harold Eugene Jones, 76, of Clarksburg, passed away in the early morning Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Harold was born in Salem, WV, on November 2, 1949, a son of the late Arnett and Mary Bland Jones.

He is survived by his son; Ryan Jones of Clarksburg; two daughters, Erica Jones of TX and Valerie Jones of Shinnston; grandson, Onyx Jones; and sisters, Sheila Jones-Marino and her husband Vincent of Morgantown, and Kathyrn Diana Bonnell-Ford of Bridgeport.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Arnett Guy Jones, Larry Jones and Kenneth Jones.

Harold was a graduate of Bristol High School Class of 1970. He spent his career in sales for RD Wilson, retiring with over 30 years of experience.

Harold truly never met a stranger. He had a gift for striking up a conversation with anyone he crossed paths with, and his ‘ornery’ sense of humor and playful antics rarely failed to leave them with a smile. Above all, he found his greatest joy in the company of his family and friends. He was a loving grandfather to Onyx and a proud granddaddy to all his grand-pups.

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Monday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with Kevin Jones as officiant. Interment will follow at the Heavner Cemetery in Upshur County.
