Mary Ellen (Ross) Coffman, 87, peacefully passed away March 28, 2026. She was born October 6, 1938, in Wilsonburg, WV to the late James E. and Eythel V. (Fornash) Ross.
She was married to Frederick W. Coffman Sr. on Feb 14,1957, who preceded her in death on January 7,1990.
Surviving Mary are one daughter, Karen D. Fleming of Clarksburg; one son, Frederick W. Coffman, Jr. (Ronja) of Bridgeport. Also surviving are her grandchildren, who lovingly called her Mamie: Larry Fleming, Jr. (Amanda), Joshua Fleming, Britni Fleming, and Teth (Michael) Peiffley; great grandchildren, Adam Fleming, Marcus Peiffley, Jordyn Fleming, and Paisley Deaton; son-in-law, Timothy Elder; grandson-in-law, Eddie Hardman; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Tinney; two infant sisters; infant children, Debra, Larry and Jerry Coffman; daughter, Donna Elder; granddaughter, Shawna Hardman; nieces and nephews, John Hern, Rosemary Hern, Lisa Hern, Jodie Tinney; and her close friend and companion, Raymond Mazza.
Mary was a graduate of Victory High School and worked at Eagle Convex and as a door greeter at Wal-Mart before retirement.
