Obituaries

Nancy Lee Caroli Audia, 94, of Bridgeport, WV, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025, at Harmony at White Oaks in Bridgeport.

She was born in Clarksburg, WV, on June 3, 1931, a daughter of the late Daniel and Rosa Romano Caroli.

Nancy was married on April 25, 1951, to William Audia, who resides at their residence.

Also surviving are two sons, Dr. Joseph Audia and his wife Lena of Salem, Mark Daniel Audia and wife Monica of Bridgeport, four grandchildren, Jennifer Marie Henderson and husband Steve, Brittany Lynn Audia, Christopher William Audia, Ryan Mark Audia and wife Samantha, five great grandchildren, Lucy, Luna, Lilyana, Austin, and Layla. She also leaves behind her brother, John Caroli and his wife Connie of Bridgeport; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph Caroli, and Jim Caroli. Sisters, Catherine Caroli, Victoria Ayoob and Mary Frances Bombardiere.

Mrs. Audia retired from the Harrison County Board of Education after 19 years of service with Special Education Students. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Harrison County Retired Personnel Association, Sons of Italy, a 50-year member of the of Joke Eat Talk and Sew Ladies Club, and the American Legion Post 13 Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. Audia enjoyed camping at Big Bear Lake with her children, grandchildren and friends. She loved traveling with her husband and family. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading, and playing bingo at the Harrison County Senior Center and East View Senior Center. She loved cooking, especially Christmas Eve Dinner with traditional fish for her family, and loved making fritti, and her famous apple pie. Above all, she loved attending all of her grandchildren’s school activities and watching their achievements.

There will be no public visitation, and a private graveside service was held.
