We invite you to gather with family and friends in celebrating Sally’s life at the First United Methodist Church, 117 N. 2nd Street, Clarksburg, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2017.  A memorial service will be held following the visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Greg Godwin and Reverend Sam Schwenk presiding. A repose dinner will be provided immediately following the service.

Sally Pierce Hall, 88, of Bristol, WV, went home to be with Uncle John Martin and our Lord on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at the Bridgeport Health Care Center, following an extended illness. Uncle John preceded Sally in death, November 8, 2017.

 

She was born in Clarksburg, on July 24, 1929, the only child of the late Dr. Jay H. and Nora Christine Robinson Pierce. Sally resided at Clarksburg Country Club for years as many will remember.

 

Sally is survived by two sons, Mark W. Hall and wife Christina of Bristol, WV, P. Bradley Hall M.D. and wife Marlene of Flemington; one daughter, Lisa C. Anderson and husband John of Cannan Valley, and Sobisca Daniel Hall and wife Angel and their daughter Portia. She was grandmother to five grandchildren, Rachel Hall, John S. Anderson, Jr., Resi C. Anderson, Crystal Andrew and husband Thomas, and Justin Barker and wife Tiffany; and four great grandchildren, Dylan Andrew, Clara Andrew, Olivia Moon and Grant Barker.

 

In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by many dear friends.

 

Sally was a member of the Clarksburg First United Methodist Church. She held a bachelor’s of Fine Art’s Degree and was an artist and decorator.  She taught school for the Harrison County Board of Education, and was “surrogate mother” to too many to list.

 

She was active in her community having memberships in the Clarksburg Garden Club, Kappa Gamma Sorority, Clarksburg Historical Society, and Daughters of the American Revolution.

Per her request, Sally will be cremated.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Harrison County Humane Society, 2450 Saltwell Road, Shinnston, WV 26431 or to the Clarksburg Garden Club.
