Shirley Ellen Carson Everett, 87, of Lost Creek, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, September 6, 2025.
She was born in Clarksburg, WV on December 8, 1937, a daughter of the late Dennis Carson and Winnie Roach Starkey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Franklin “Bud” West, Roger Wilfong and Gerald Everett; as well as her grandson, Jimmy Skinner; and brothers, Willard, Dennis, Robert “Frank”, and Eugene.
She is survived by her children, Vicki Skinner of Lumberport, Nina Adams and her husband Robert of Clarksburg, Cynthia Weaver and her husband Roy of Grafton, Jody Everett and his wife Kristen of Philippi, Jamie Everett and his wife Angel of St. Mary, and Gerald Everett Jr. and his wife Erica of Clarksburg; sister, Caroline Wiseman and her husband Dave Fittro of Nutter Fort; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Shirley was a graduate of Bridgeport High School. She spent her career as a cook for the Harrison County Board of Education with over 23 years of service. She enjoyed sewing and gardening in her free time. She also liked to bowl and had fun playing “Words with Friends” with her brother Frank and her sister-in-law, Luella Cayton. She was Methodist by faith.
Shirley’s family would like to extend special thanks to Clarksburg Health Care, especially Jessica, Tasha, Mary, Christy, Justin, Dr. Bowles and Amedysis Chaplain Shane Wolford, for the exceptional care they provided to Shirley.
In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Everett will be cremated.
