I met Nick during my bypass surgery journey in 2017, and he quickly became a cherished friend in the Cardio Rehab class. I’ll never forget the time I wasn’t feeling well; Nick stepped up without hesitation, telling the nurses he would drive me home. That act of kindness was just a glimpse into the wonderful person he was. When I changed my Cardio Rehab location in 2024, I was pleasantly surprised to find Nick there on my first day. We quickly fell back into our routine of endless conversations during our bike rides, sharing stories about our families, work, and, most importantly, our faith in Christ. His absence from class due to health issues made us excited for his return to class. Just this past Wednesday, I spoke with Judy about visiting Nick on Saturday, Judy told me to call her before going on Saturday as it was hopeful that he might be going home. When I received the news of his passing, it hit me hard. But in my heart, I know he’s home now—home with Jesus, free from pain and suffering. Nick, you will be deeply missed. Cardio rehab won’t be the same without your laughter and friendship. Thank you for the light you brought into our lives.
