Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, WV on Monday, April 7, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at the funeral home at 11:00 am with Reverend Bruce Macbeth presiding. Interment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery, Grafton, WV with full military rites accorded.

August Nick “Junior” Pinti, 84, of Clarksburg, WV passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
He was born on April 16, 1940 to the late Augusto and Rosina “Rose” Pinti.
He is survived by his wife, Julia “Judy” Ann Davis Pinti whom he married August 18, 1960 and resides at their home in Clarksburg. Also surviving are one daughter, Beth Ann Griffith and husband Brian of Bridgeport, WV, one son, David Nick Pinti of Clarksburg, three granddaughters; Rachel Clouse and husband Daniel, Emily Griffith and Julia Griffith, one great granddaughter, Ruby Valentine Clouse, two brothers, Vincent Pinti and wife Janet of Bridgeport and Mario Pinti and wife Brenda of Clarksburg, nephews; Mark Pinti and Stephen Pinti and nieces, Shelly Wilfong, Stephanie Stuart and Jill Sisk along with several other great nieces and nephews.
Nick was a 1958 graduate of Washington Irving High School and served in the United States Air Force for 5 years. He was a member of the I.B.E.W – 596 for over 50 years, having served as an electrical journeyman and also taught electrical classes for many years. He was president for 19 years and made the best coffee at the union hall. His last three years he worked in the office. He was a member of the Hermon Blue Lodge #155 A.F. & A.M. which is now #6 A.F. & A.M., was 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, member of the Nemisis Shriners having been a road runner taking patients to the Shriners Hospital in Lexington, KY and was a faithful member of the Salem Rifle & Pistol Club helping make apple butter, which he loved.
To his granddaughters, he was simply “Poppy”. His greatest joy was his family. Whether watching granddaughters perform on stage or on a volleyball court, he was their biggest fan. He looked forward each year to traditions like family beach vacations, canning peppers with his daughter and deer hunting with friends. He especially enjoyed cooking on Christmas Eve day in preparation for his family’s Christmas Eve feast, which was his favorite night of the year.
He was a member, trustee and elder of the Presbyterian Church of Our Savior for many years.
