Obituaries

David Earl Gibbs, 36, of Reston, VA, formerly of Bridgeport, passed away on Sunday , December 1, 2024.
He was born in Winchester, VA on November 11, 1988, a son of David Gibbs who resides in Jane Lew, and Karen L. Quinn and husband Donald of Bridgeport.
Also surviving are one sister, Jessica Swiger of Clarksburg; four nieces and nephews, Hayle Maier and husband Chris, Anna Swiger, Lucas Swiger, and Natalie Swiger; one great-niece, Magnolia Maier; two stepbrothers, Donnie and Dillion Quinn; and one stepsister, Elizabeth Quinn. David also leaves behind his beloved dog and cat, Charlie and Banner.
David was a 2007 graduate of Bridgeport High School. He worked as a sales representative for Serta Simmons.
David was a great friend and could light up any room with his contagious smile. He enjoyed playing kickball in his free time and loved singing and dancing. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.
He will be dearly missed by those who truly knew and loved him.
Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison St, Nutter Fort on Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm where the funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm with Lois Auvil presiding.
In keeping with his wishes, David will be cremated following the funeral.
