In keeping with his wishes James will be cremated. There will be a gathering of family and friends at Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. There will be a repast at the Kelly Miller Community Center following the memorial gathering. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Kelly Miller Community Center Food Bank, 408 EB Saunders Way, Clarksburg WV 26301, or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1601 2nd Avenue, Charleston, WV 25387.

My dear cousin, i remember meeting you for the first time as a tiny kid. No one had to tell me anything. I knew you were my cousin the moment I ran up on you. We shared many moments in our youth on Ben St that should've carried through to a closeness in our adulthood, but we drifted apart as many family members do. I treasure the moments and wish and pray for peace to your soul. Be well as I'm sure God has his plan. I only pray your journey involves reuniting you with my aunt and cousin Anna. Be well cuz...
