Family and friends will be received at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, WV 26301 on Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 1:00 to 3:00PM. A funeral service will be held by Reverend Richard Settles at 3:00 PM. In honoring Kathryns’s wishes, cremation services will be held, and a private inurnment will take place at Coplin Cemetery.

Kathryn Elizabeth Brooks Williams, 87, of Stonewood, WV, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the River Oaks Nursing Facility.
She was born in Jarvisville on January 15, 1939, a daughter of the late Harry and Luna Gaye Hurst Brooks.
Kathryn is survived by her son, Bruce Alan Williams of Stonewood; two grandsons, Brock Williams and Briar Williams; and one sister-in-law, Carol Brooks of Harrisonburg, VA, and her former daughter-in-law, Kimberly Williams. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Martha (Jim) Messenger, whom she thought of as a daughter, of Doddridge County.
In addition to her parents, Kathyrn was preceded in death by one son, Eric “Scott” Williams; one daughter, Sheri Beth Williams; and three siblings, Harry Brooks, Florence Fox, and Hobert “Earl” Brooks, and her former husband William Williams Jr.
Kathryn was a graduate of Roosevelt Wilson High School, Class of 1957. She was retired, having worked for over 25 years as a CNA having worked at various facilities including Meadowview Manor, and United Summit Center.
She was a former member of the RW Alumni Group and Working Women’s Club. She had tremendous faith in the Lord and attended church when she was able. She loved listening to Alan Jackson Christian music. She enjoyed watching Young and the Restless, and was avid NASCAR fan, especially Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr. Above all, she adored her grandchildren, and loved spending time with them playing board games.
