Michael Hugh Gibbs, 68 of Clarksburg passed away unexpectedly at his home on December 30, 2021. His loving wife of 48 years Mary Frances Carroll Gibbs was by his side.

Michael was born in Pasadena, Maryland October 8, 1953. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a former meatcutter at Garden Fresh, Food Land & Food Lion. He dearly loved his wife Mary and made sure he told her every day. Michael enjoyed bowling, loved watching wrestling and spending time with his family. Mike had his own sense of humor and shared it with everyone including the unwanted telemarketers.

He is survived by his wife Mary Carroll Gibbs, sister Gerri Guthrie and husband Charles of Maryland, Sister JoAnn Connell of Maryland, his children Michelle and husband Jeff Hess, Michael and wife Ashley Gibbs, Matthew and Tracie Gibbs, Grandchildren Christopher, Marissa, Austin, Nicholas, Easton, Abby, Caden, Falynn, Jesse, Josh, Aspen and step-grandson Evan Lamm. He has several nieces and nephews and a special nephew Kevin Seftick.

He also is preceded in death by his Mother Betty Lou Shue Gibbs, Father Maynard Wesley Gibbs, Sister Bonnie Anderson, Son Marc Anthony Gibbs and Granddaughter Chelsea Rose Gibbs.
