He was born in Clarksburg, on October 15, 1998, the son of Donnie L. Hardman of Sardis and Wendy DeMay Hardman of Clarksburg.

Zack is survived by his two brothers, Nicholas Jay Hardman of Sardis, and Sammy Davisson of Sardis; maternal grandparents, Janice and Louis DeMay of Rockfalls, IL; paternal grandparents, Fredrick and Viola Hardman of Salem, WV; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Zack began playing soccer at the age of four and continued playing soccer throughout middle and high school.  He was the Eagles Team Captain leading RCB to state runner up in 2016.  He played with a lot of heart and it was reflected in his work ethic and his outstanding machinist craft.  Zack was a WV State Marbles Champion and took third place twice at the National Marble Tournament in Wildwood, NJ.  He loved BMX trick bicycle riding, participated in motor cross racing at Pyramid Valley and was an avid fisherman.  He loved his dream car, a Subaru WRX, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Zack will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.
