Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Monday, April 15 at 11:00 am with Reverend Rodney Heckert officiating. Interment will be in the Seventh Day Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contribution be made to the Mt. Clare United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 85, Mt. Clare, WV 26408.

Alfred P. Trevison, 92, of Mt. Clare passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.

He was born in Mt. Clare on October 13, 1931, a son of the late George and Mary Besegh Trevison.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Mitchell Trevison, whom he married on March 10, 1958.

Also surviving are one daughter, Colleen Linger of Mt. Clare; two grandsons, William Linger of Mt. Clare and Keith Linger of Lost Creek; three great grandchildren, K. J., Nathaniel and Kaylee Linger, all of Lost Creek; two bonus great grandchildren, Mileena Kendall and husband John and Logan Jacobs; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Silvia Austin; and one brother, Arthur Trevison.

Mr. Trevison was a 1949 graduate of Lost Creek High School and was a United States Army veteran having served in the 843rd Army Engineers. He was employed with Petitto Brothers for 43 years where he was superintendent for 15 years, after which he worked for United Coal for 7 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and reader.

He was a former member of the Lost Creek Country Fall Festival, the Lost Creek Alumni Association, and the Mt. State Old Fashioned Square Dancers.

He especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and his dogs.
