Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Friday, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, where Catholic Burial Rites will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10:00 am. Interment will be in the Stonewall Park Cemetery.

Alice Irene Malcolm DeFazio Davis, formerly of Clarksburg, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017 in Wadsworth, OH.

 

Irene was born on June 27, 1936 at home in Stonewood, WV to Beatrice Anabel Kilmer Malcolm and Virgil Troy Malcolm who both preceded her in death.

 

She was also preceded in death by her former husbands, Anthony F. (Tony) DeFazio, the father of her children; William G. (Bill) Winters; and Clarence F. (Clare) Davis.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Willis and Neil Malcolm.

 

Irene is survived by her two sons, Joseph (Joe) DeFazio and wife Jill of Nutter Fort, David DeFazio and wife Kay of Stonewood, and daughter Katrina DeFazio and her significant other, Scot Sponsler of Wadsworth, OH. She is also survived by her twin brother, William (Bill) Malcolm and wife Mary Ann of Stonewood, and her sister, Virginia (Ginny) Malcolm of Wadsworth, OH. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Carrie DeFazio Stanley and husband Jonathan of Morgantown; Michael and Benjamin DeFazio of Nutter Fort, Shawna Kay DeFazio Marozzi and husband Patrick, and Bryanna DeFazio all of Stonewood, Alexander Panzarello and wife Angela of Cleveland, OH, and Kala Panzarello Carter and husband Edward of Syracuse, NY; her great grandchildren, D’Anthony and Dante Marozzi of Stonewood, Nicolo and Tiberio Panzarello of Cleveland, OH, and baby Stanley due in March 2018. Irene is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews as well as other relatives.

 

She attended Roosevelt-Wilson High School, was a former employee of Eagle Convex Glass Factory, United Hospital Center of Clarksburg and after moving to Ohio she retired from Medina General Hospital in Medina, OH.

 

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church of Wadsworth, Ohio.
