Anthony “Tony” Ward, 49, of Clarksburg passed away on December 14, 2017, at his residence.

He was born on July 19, 1968 in Cleveland, OH the son of Larry Ward of Texas and Sandy Barnes Tomaro and husband Joe Clarksburg.

Along with his parents, he is survived by one sister, Melissa Ward Hickman and husband Eric of Beverly, WV; one brother, Christopher Ward and wife Jennifer of Clarksburg, WV; one half- brother, Scott Ward of Texas; one half-sister, Candace Ward-Walker of Clarksburg, WV; one step-sister, Kimberly Reed of Clarksburg; one step-brother, Jason Tomaro and wife Jamie of West Milford, WV; maternal grandmother, Claire Givens of Clarksburg, WV; aunt, Tammy Upton and husband Nick of Clarksburg, WV;  uncle, Ricky Barnes of Clarksburg, WV and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Holy Cross Cemetery, with Father Akila Rodrigo presiding.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Harrison County Humane Society, 2450 Saltwell Road, Shinnston, WV 26431.
