Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m., where the funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Phil Nestor presiding. Interment will follow at the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Arbadella Wright Haddix, 78, of Summit Park, passed away on March 17, 2017, at Clarksburg Nursing and Rehab Center.

 

She was born in Clarksburg, on September 1, 1938, a daughter of the late David Hickman Wright and Bessie Phillips Wright.

 

Mrs. Haddix was preceded in death by her husband Harry F. Haddix in 2000.

 

She is survived by nine, children, Michael Lee Haddix and his wife Tammy of Summit Park, Ruby Selena Haddix of Summit Park, Melissa J. Snyder and husband Donnie of Mt. Clare, twins, Kevin David Haddix and wife Allison of Clendenin, Keith James Haddix and wife Jane of Bridgeport, twins, Della Elaine Haddix of Summit Park, Darrell Wayne Haddix and wife Diane of Simpson, Harry William Haddix and fiancé Amy Mercer of Pennsboro and Jason Allen Haddix and fiancé Samantha Blankenship of Summit Park. She was grandmother to 23 grandchildren, Nicole Haddix, Amber Haddix, Ashley Haddix, Johnna Allen, Austin Allen, Anthony Dawson Snyder, Jarrett Flanigan, Monique Haddix, Devon Spencer, Peyton Spencer, Cody Allen Haddix, Ryan Paul Scheuvront, Derick Wayne Haddix, Samantha Haddix, Clovis McCoy, Cory McCoy, Breanna Carmella Rose Mace, Ethan Allen Haddix, Arissa Sizemore, Gracie Haddix, Paisley Haddix ,and Kenzleigh Haddix; 15 great grandchildren, Ayden Minks, Adalynn Minks, Xavier Mellinger, Alex Mellinger, Jayden Haddix, Memphis Flanigan, Rylan Scheuvront, Senica Haddix, Syrus Haddix, Jevan Poling, Jamian Poling, Shayla McCoy, Cadence McCoy, Jace McCoy and Carson Haddix. She also leaves behind one sister, Shirley Morton of Summit Park; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

Arbadella was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold Wright, Carl Wright, and Harry Wright; two sisters, Virginia “Sadi” Ross and Geraldine Wright; and one great grandson, Zaiden McCoy.

 

Mrs. Haddix was a homemaker and attended the Pentecostal Church of the Living God.
