Barbara Ann Goff Chickerell, 57, of Shinnston, WV went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at the United Hospital Center following a brief illness.

She was born on September 30, 1961 in Indian Head, MD, a daughter of the late Raymond and Dorothy Ann Deem Goff.

Surviving are her beloved sons, Barton Jacob Hudkins and James Dakota Chickerell, both of whom make their home with her in Shinnston; three sisters, and their families, Ramona and John Weekly of Worthington, Natalie Trader of Shinnston, and Patti and Rod Toothman of Plum Road; one brother, Raymond Goff of Enterprise; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one special sister, Penny Shreves.

Barbara graduated from Shinnston and OIC as a medical assistant. She worked for many years in the office of Dr. Dev and Dr. Mulpuru in Fairmont. Barbara loved swimming and cooking, but her greatest passions were sketching and photography. She loved to share the pictures she took from her home, particularly of birds and flora that she found through her windows. She attended the First Baptist Church in Shinnston when her health permitted.

In keeping with her wishes, Barbara will be cremated.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, 70 Rebecca Street, Shinnston, WV 26431, with Pastor Kevin Nuzum officiating.
