Barbara Jean Benkart Salinetro, 80, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024, at the Pierpoint Center in Fairmont.

She was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on January 11, 1944, a daughter of the late John and Anna Culp Benkart.

Mrs. Salinetro was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Thoma.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Colleen Mick of Clarksburg, and son, Edwin Salinetro and wife Antoinette of Pittsburgh, PA. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren, Amanda Preininger and husband Chris, Edwin Salinetro and Cindel, Ashley Salinetro and Justin, Michael Pisanti, John Chuderewicz and wife April, Brandy Salinetro and Robert, Crystal Johnson and Jesse and Tony Pisanti; two great grandchildren, Jax Chuderewicz and Bryce Johnson; her adopted daughter, Dorothy “Dee” Brandl; a favorite great niece, Autumn Lash, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Barbara was Catholic by faith and loved her daily devotionals. Her smile could light up a room and to know her was to love her. She loved the fact that she lived long enough to be a great grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.

Honoring her wishes, Barbara will be cremated.
