Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Tuesday, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ryan Whitlow presiding. Interment will follow in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Barbara Jo Shawhan Herron, 84 of Mt. Clare, WV, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2019, at Country Living Personal Care in Jane Lew, WV.
She was born in Clarksburg, WV on July 2, 1935, the only child of the late Clifford J. and Marguerite Greynolds Shawhan.
Barbara was married on July 23, 1952, to Harold G. Herron, whom preceded her in death on March 22, 2019.
Mrs. Herron is survived by two daughters, Susan Herron of Mt Clare, WV, and Chera Allman and husband Kenny of Buckhannon, WV; one grandson, Robert Hurst and his wife Melissa and two great-grandchildren, Worthy Hurst and Liliana Hurst.
Barbara was a graduate of Roosevelt Wilson High School and a homemaker. She was Methodist by faith.
