Betty Newlon, 76, of Nutter Fort passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 in the United Hospital Center.

She was born in Clarksburg on August 18, 1948, a daughter of the late Waymon Robert and Opal Marie Moore Newlon.

She is survived by one sister, Margaret Matheny of Mt. Clare; her niece, Robin Osborn of Bridgeport; nephews, Bobby Russell of Clarksburg and Glen Matheny, Jr. of Mt. Clare; several great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her companion of over 16 years, Clayton Collins.

Betty attended Victory High School and was Baptist by faith. She loved her iced coffee!!! She also loved her cat, Muffin and going out to eat. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and visiting her family’s farm.

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, where funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm with Pastor Timothy Maxwell officiating. Interment will be held privately in the Center Point Cemetery.
