Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home. 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Wednesday from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 11:00 am with Pastor Michael Stottlemyer officiating. Interment will be in the Bridgeport Cemetery.

Carolyn Lee Hines Eakle, 79, of Clarksburg passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Clarksburg on August 24, 1943, a daughter of the late Dorsey B. and Mary C. Smith Hines.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Gary Wayne Eakle, whom she married on October 9, 1964.

Also surviving are two daughters, Beth A. Lipscomb of Doddridge County and Debbie Cottrill and her husband George of Wolf Summit; four grandchildren, Noelle Lipscomb, Amanda Cottrill, Tyler Lipscomb and Jobie Cottrill and his significant other Brittney Jones; seven great grandchildren, Logan, Caelynn, Jordan, Riiley, Calleigh, Xavier and Brooke; and one special cousin, John Kenney of Colorado Springs, CO.

She was also preceded in death by one son-in-law, Robert D. Lipscomb.

Mrs. Eakle was a 1961 graduate of Victory High School and a self-employed personal caregiver. She enjoyed bowling, shopping and family get-togethers. Carolyn was an amazing cook, and you never left her house hungry. She was very caring, always checked in on her family and loved her grandbabies.
