“Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not.”

Colt Leroy Smith, aged 3 months, gained his heavenly wings on Thursday, August 16, 2018. During his brief visit on earth, his beautiful smile, bright eyes, and sweet little noises brought joy to his parents’ hearts. He was loved by all who met him and will be greatly missed.

Born May 18, 2018, Colt is survived by his parents, Isaiah and Andrea Smith and his big brother, Jessie.

Survivors also include his great grandparents: Reverend Ross and Ruth Higginbotham, Judy and Bill Spears, and Marie Whitehair; Grandparents Mike and Rachel Smith, Lisa Hargis, and Shell and Beth Hoskinson; 10 aunts: Kaitlyn Hargis, Desiree Hargis, Cheyenne Smith, EmmaLee (Matt) Griffith, Amanda (Brandon) Leeson, Shellby Leonard, and ElizaBeth, Amethyst, Sylvia, and Alivia Hoskinson; 11 uncles: Dessiyon Hatchett, Johnny D. Smith, Nathan (Melissa) O’Connell, and Simon, Malachi, Zachariah, Matthew, Johnathan, Christopher, Timothy, and Branden Hoskinson, and many cousins.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 4-7 pm this Friday, August 24, 2018 at Clarksburg Baptist Church on the corner of 6th and Pike Streets. A Memorial Service will follow at 7 pm lead by Pastor Phil Wayman and Reverend Ross Higginbotham.
