David Michael Piercy, 71, of Stonewood passed away on Monday, January 20, 2020 in the United Hospital Center.

He was born in Weston on June 9, 1948, a son of the late Jackson Woodford “Woody” and Naomi Etta Bowen Piercy.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Margaret Riley Piercy, whom he married on February 27, 1968; three children, Mike Piercy and his wife Michelle of Greencastle, PA, Vicky Cutchin and her husband Kevin of Ruther Glan, VA, and Patrick Piercy and his wife Kris of Yorktown, VA; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one brother, Jack Piercy and his wife Terri of Tucson, AZ.

He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Nicholas Piercy.

Mr. Piercy was a graduate of Spencer High School and obtained his Associates Degree in Mortuary Science from John Tyler Community College. He was a United States Air Force 20 year veteran, was a funeral director in Virginia and West Virginia for 10 years, and was a retired Employment Specialist with the State of WV.

Mr. Piercy was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed.

In honoring his request, Mr. Piercy will be cremated. A private inurnment will be held at WV National Cemetery.
