So many fond memories of Dave over the years and a joy to watch him grow into the man he was. He never hesitated to help me, and remember vividly, sharing with me, he had received Jesus Christ into his heart. I will miss you Dave! Special prayers to the family. May you Rest In Peace!

My heart is broken, Dave was a great friend. A life long friend. We didn’t see each other often, but when we did it was like we had just visited yesterday. If anyone in his family needs anything please call me. Dave would help anyone, I will miss his kind soul, see you on the other side brother!

Where to start? I adore the quote that Tammy gave from Dave … “I can weld anything except for the crack of dawn and a broken heart.” That will resonate with me forever, and it sounds so much like the Davey I remember when we were little kids. Except he probably would have tried it! There are certainly many broken hearts right now. So many times, I thought, “I really need to go see Pop’s family in WV.” Shame on me for not doing that sooner. But my love has always been with family over the years. Prayers to Tammy and all Dave’s loved ones. I wish so badly I could come and hug you right now. God Bless and Peace be with Your Spirit

Tammy, We were so sad to hear of the loss of Dave. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. May God give you comfort and peace in your time of need.

Posted by Melody and Kirk Cooper on March 30, 2020

So sorry about your loss, Im sure it is hard for everyone to believe. Dave was at the career center in 83 when I was there in machine shop. Even then he could weld like a work of art unlike anything Id ever seen. We didnt know each other then but when he moved to sand ridge I would see him in his truck because I lived in the area. Dave did a rush job for me at his house at Thanksgiving one time and would not let me pay him, so I gave him motocross tickets in return the next spring. We still did not know each other well but he treated me like a great friend whenever I seen him. What a talent and a sad loss. We will see you again one day.

I am dumbfounded. I saw that he had been sick and they were going to have a din er for him on Facebook thank you for sharing. God intervenes in mysterious ways. I sent him a message on Messenger and we talked for about an hour. It was really nice catching up cause I hadn't seen him around for awhile. He seemed in good spirits cause he was feeling better and had been able to get around some and was looking forward to getting out more. What a great guy you were my friend You always lived life the best way you can You lived your dreams every day Now with the Angels you will stay Everyone that knew you will attest You were and always will be one of the best. I'll Miss You Buddy. May God Rest Your Soul

So sad to hear this... He was always a good guy to be around funny every time i saw him and always helpful ... When i worked at the Harley-Davidson I would always look forward to seeing him and his friends come in and joke with me. I will miss his crazy toys paint jobs and wild things welded. I offer you my deepest condolences he will be missed.

I 'll always remember your smile and enthusiasm for life. Even with years between us I always enjoyed the stoeies you told of your motorcycles. The thing that seemed to bond us starting when I was in the Army and had my red Sporty. Was hoping we would ride together when next I came up North. Guess we will have to ride on the other side if the good Lord allows it. Prayers for the family. God Bless

Posted by William Bokey on March 30, 2020

So sad to hear of your passing. Dave was one of my best friends in high school. I remember riding dirt bikes, shooting muzzle loaders and bows on your dads farm. We and our friend Kevin used to cruise around town in Dave’s Jeep, Kevin’s Bronco or my Nova hooping it up and enjoying life. Dave would sometimes get us into a little trouble but nothing we couldn’t handle or run from. Growing up with him and our other buddy Kevin was some of the best times of my young life. Don’t get caught shooting those road signs or burning rubber in heaven. Guess I’m going to have to swap out the engine in my Nova by myself now. Godspeed my friend.
