Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 11:00 am with Pastor Bryant Bailey officiating.   In keeping with his wisher, David will be cremated following the service.

David Wayne Wiant, 49, of Clarksburg, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 due to an automobile accident.

 

He was born in Buckhannon, WV on March 25, 1968, a son of Clinton Cleo Wiant who survives in Weston, and the late Ella Mae Watson Wiant.

 

He is survived by his wife, Alisa Marie Kovar Wiant, whom he married on May 3, 1998; three sons, Cody Wayne Wiant, David Wayne Wiant, Jr. and Maddix Wayne Wiant, all at home; one

 

granddaughter Riley-Stewart-Wiant two brothers, Charlie Wiant and his wife Jill of South Dakota, and Gary Wiant and his fiancé Kathleen of Pennsboro; and one sister, Jennifer George and her husband James of Indiana, PA. Also surviving are his father-in-law and mother-in-law Mike and Shelia Kovar. David loved his big white boxer “Precious”. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Ellen Wiant.

 

David was a Heavy Equipment Operator for Shanco Corporation. He loved his job and running heavy equipment. He also loved to hunt and fish go camping with his family and friends and was a member of the Zert Organization shooting club. David was Baptist by faith.

In keeping with his wisher, David will be cremated following the service.
