Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. where Catholic Funeral Rites will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Chris Turner presiding.   Interment will follow in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Deborah Kay “Debbie” Stumpo Moneypenny, 62, of Clarksburg, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 12, 2018, in Pompeii Italy.

 

She was born in Clarksburg, on January 10, 1956, a daughter of the late Patsy Stumpo and the late Patricia Arbogast Caputo.

 

Debbie was married on April 9, 1976, to her Homecoming Sweetheart, Jimmy Lee “Jim” Moneypenny, who preceded her in death on September 27, 2013.

 

She is survived by one daughter, Amy Jo Moneypenny of Clarksburg; three grandchildren Adrian Moneypenny, Tegan Garrett and Kamila Garrett; two brothers, Michael Stumpo and wife Nancy of Clarksburg, and Charles “Chuck” Stumpo of Monrovia, CA; one sister, Donna Stumpo of Bridgeport; two half-brothers, Robert Caputo, II and Anthony “Tony” Caputo; and one half-sister, Mary Mells.  Also surviving are her mother-in-law, Mildred “Midge” Moneypenny, her aunt, Joanne Stumpo Oliverio; three sisters-in-law, Julie Hamrick, Deanna Leonard and husband Michael, and Sheila Horsefield and husband Larry; nieces and nephews, Krista Sharma and husband Rakesh, Michael Stumpo, Catherine Marie McVaney and husband Justin, Traci Terango and husband Joe Pat, Jennifer Duarte and husband Scott, Dusty Hamrick and wife Theresa, Aleta Brosius and husband Tommy, Jason Richards and wife Sylvia, April Myers, and Brad Stutler; as well as several great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mike and Catherine Stumpo; brother, Lewis Stumpo; nephew, Charles Stutler; niece, Tina Nicole Stumpo; brother-in-law, Danny Hamrick; sister-in-law, Linda Stumpo and father-in-law, William “Bill” Moneypenny.

 

Debbie was Catholic by faith, and a graduate of Roosevelt Wilson High School, Class of 1974. She was a Receptionist at River Oaks Nursing Home for over 10 years.  Debbie enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, and was a fun-loving person with a smile on her face who never met a stranger. She enjoyed concerts and loved to travel, and especially enjoyed cruises in the Caribbean and Mediterranean. First and foremost, Debbie was loving and devoted to her daughter, grandchildren and family. She will be sadly missed by her family and all of those who knew and loved her.
