Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.  The service will be held at the conclusion of the visitation with Pastor Brian Lamb presiding.   In keeping with her wishes, Debra will be cremated following the service.   A private inurnment will be held at a later date in the Stonewall Park Cemetery.

Debra Jean “Debbie” Vore Lindsay, 61, of Stonewood, WV, passed away on March 27, 2017, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

 

She was born in Fairmont, WV, on July 20, 1955, a daughter of the late Larry Vore and Jean Cottrill Gory.

 

She is survived by her husband Charles R. “Rodney” Lindsay who resides at their home in Stonewood.

 

She is also survived by two children, Rocki Buffey and husband Tony of Clarksburg, and Hoss Lindsay and wife Alyse of Lost Creek; five grandchildren, Antonio Buffey, Alexis Lindsay, Michael Lindsay, Jacob Lindsay, Raina Lindsay; her siblings, Nancy Eaton of Bridgeport, Bob Malcomb and wife Lori of Clarksburg, Allen Malcomb and wife Sandy of Clarksburg, Leonard Jeffries of Mt. Clare, Richie Gory of Mt. Clare and Mitchy Gory of Clarksburg; uncle and aunt, Jeff and Alma Cottrill of Clarksburg; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Jimmy Vore, Donna Farnsworth, and Michael Gory.

 

Debra was a member of the Living Grace City Church. She retired after 20 years of service with United Hospital Center having worked in several areas including housekeeping, laundry department and more recently the coffee shop.  Debra was a dedicated employee for United Hospital Center, but her greatest devotion and love was to her family and especially her grandchildren.
