Debbie went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 18, 2017, following an extended illness.

Debbie was born on October 1, 1948, a daughter of the late William Howard Murray and the late Hulda Grace Murray of Clarksburg.

Debbie was a member of Freedom Southern Baptist Church, Nutter Fort, WV.  She liked to sing hymns, bake pies, send cards, and make handmade quilts and pillows; in short, she was passionate about spreading the love of Jesus.  Debbie wanted her life to reflect Who Jesus is and how He changed her life.

Following a near fatal accident in 1993 Debbie penned these words, “Maybe there was no great big reason for God sparing my life, but if just one person is touched by hearing what God has done for me and gives their life to Him, then I’ll say it’s been worth every bit of suffering and pain.  I thank God I’m alive”. Debbie had reason to live and now in death she lives in victory with her Savior.  How about you?  Have you given your life to Him?

Debbie is survived in death by two children, Kimberly Wickes, of Clarksburg and Wendy Wickes White and her husband Rick White of Clarksburg; one granddaughter, Alexandra Grace White of Clarksburg, WV and five siblings, Judy Gain and her husband Bud of Philippi, WV; William “Bill” Murray and his wife Regina of Clarksburg, WV; Sandy Crim of  Bridgeport, WV; Cindy Johns and her husband Ralph of Mount Clare, WV; and Doug Murray and his wife Trenia of Clarksburg, WV; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. The service will be held at the conclusion of the visitation at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jim Sanders presiding.

Interment will follow in the Boring Cemetery.
