In keeping with her wishes, cremation services were held.  There will be a gathering of family and friends at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Saturday, July 1, 2017 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, where a memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm with Reverend George Masto officiating.  Inurnment will immediately follow the service in the Sunset Memorial Park.   There will be a gathering of family and friends at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Saturday, July 1, 2017 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, where a memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm with Reverend George Masto officiating.

Debra Lynn Ward Brown, 66, of Mount Clare, WV, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2017.

 

She was born in Clarksburg on February 4, 1951, a daughter of the late Delbert and Mildred “Billie” Shaffer Ward of Mt. Clare.

 

She is survived by her husband Roger Brown of 46 years, whom she married on November 25, 1970.

 

Mrs. Brown is also survived by one son, Mark Brown and his wife Erika of Bridgeport, WV; two grandchildren, Ryan Brown and Carson Brown; one sister, Lana Lewis and her husband Henry of Kingsport, TN; four uncles, Ralph Ward and his wife Boots, Charles Ward, Lonnie Joe Ward and his wife Connie, and Larry Ward; several nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Steve Brown and Ronald Brown and his wife Sue; and sisters-in-law Linda Clark and her husband Terry, and Sharon Gray and her husband Bill.  She was also preceded in death by numerous uncles and cousins.

 

Debra was a 1969 graduate of South Harrison High School and was an active member of the Word of Life Assembly of God Church in Sun Valley.  She made jewelry in her spare time and she enjoyed camping and spending time with her husband in their motor home in Florida.
