Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.  There will be a prayer Vigil at 7:30 p.m. to conclude the visitation.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8092 3rd Street, Stonewood, WV at 10:00 a.m. with Father D. Kent Durig as Celebrant.   Interment will follow in the Bridgeport, Cemetery.

Delores Jean Carvelli Corcoglioniti, 85, of Bridgeport, WV, passed away after an extended illness and eleven-year battle with dementia and Alzheimer’s surrounded by her loving family on January 1, 2018.

 

She was born in Stonewood, WV, on September 1, 1932, a daughter of the late Luigi and Anna Figler Carvelli.

 

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Mike (Corky) Corcoglioniti.

 

She is also survived by three children, Susan (John) Stogran of Bridgeport, WV, Michele (Jeff) Chalfant of Bridgeport, WV, and Michael Corcoglioniti of New Market, MD.  She is also survived by five grandchildren, Nicole Stogran of Bridgeport, WV, Brianna Stogran of Washington, PA, and Emily, Erica and Jeffrey Chalfant of Bridgeport, WV. Also surviving are two brothers, Sam Carvelli of Clarksburg, WV and his companion Lois Webb of Bridgeport, WV and James (Karen) Carvelli of Stonewood, WV and one sister, Patricia Beto of Springfield, VA, along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

 

She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Frank Carvelli, George Carvelli, Joe Carvelli, and infant John Carvelli; five sisters, Rose Perri, Elizabeth Signorelli, Mary McIntire, Anna Danes, and infant Virginia Carvelli.

 

Delores was a 1950 graduate of Roosevelt Wilson High School.  She was employed by Eagle Convex Glass in Clarksburg, WV and Popular Dry Goods of El Paso, TX.  Delores enjoyed baking cookies and cooking for her family.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Delores was a very devoted Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Stonewood, WV.

 

Her family would like to thank People’s Hospice and the Harrison County Senior Citizen Center for their support, along with Christie Childers who was her caregiver.
