Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm where a funeral service will be held on Monday, October 18, 2021 at 12:00 pm with Pastor Michael Tallman presiding. Entombment will follow in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Edna “Eileen” Wickenhofer, 75 of Nutter Fort West Virginia passed away on Wednesday October 13, 2021 at Ruby Memorial hospital with family by her side after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Eileen was born on August 8, 1946. The daughter of Elizabeth “Betty” Smith of Northview. She married the love of her life Richard Lee Wickenhofer on January 18, 1964. And spent 52 years with him until he passed in November 2016. They had 2 children, who she adored.

Eileen was a wonderful mother and homemaker, also caring for her mother, niece Amber and her 3 grandchildren. She was sweet, generous, loving and carefree. She loved her family, taking vacations, reading, shopping, going out to eat, to the pool and talking on the phone. She loved Pepsi and Italian bread. She loved life and enjoyed the little things, a walk in the park, flowers, cupcakes and kids. She was blessed with 3 wonderful best friends Brenda, Karen and the late Cindy.

She was the matriarch of our family and held so many memories no one else knew. She was a great storyteller. She was funny and loved to dance. She had a beautiful smile and dark brown eyes.

Eileen was preceded in death by her husband Richard Wickenhofer, her brother Dan Cleavenger, sister Cheryl VanScoy, brother David Smith, niece Heather Smith and nephew Josh Watson.

Eileen is survived by her son Richard Gregory Wickenhofer and wife Ginger, their three children Richard, Jake and Heidi; her daughter Traci Griffith, their three children, Brooke, husband Lucas and great grandpup Dracula Burl, Curtis and Christopher. Her brother Joe & wife Maria, brother Tony & wife Sharon. Many nieces and nephews, Crystal, Danny, Scott, Cassie, Brent, Emmalee, Haley, Amber and TJ. And many great nieces and nephews and family members. She loved all of her family so much, immediate and extended. She treated many of their friends as her own. She was the glue that held us all together and she will be dearly loved and missed all the days of our lives.
