Eric Eugene Shreves, 30, of Clarksburg, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018.
Eric was born in Harrison County on August 15, 1988, a son of Robert Shreves and Glenda Nutter Shreves.
Eric is survived by his parents as well as five siblings; Richard Gum and wife Paula of Kent, OH, Bobbi Swiger and husband Gene of Clarksburg, Jennifer Shreves of Clarksburg, DeLyse Melott and husband James of Clarksburg, and Katherine Nicholson of Waynesburg, PA. Also surviving are his 6 nephews and 2 nieces.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Kimberly Gum.
Eric was known for making those around him smile and laugh with his great sense of humor. He enjoyed playing with his nieces and nephews. He was an avid swimmer and gamer. His favorite past times were shopping for a good deal and working on his tan.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Amos Carvelli Funeral Home.
Eric’s family wants you to know you’re not alone and that help is out there for those who struggle with depression and addiction.
