Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Sunday, October 1, 2017 and Monday, October 2, 2017 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm each day.   Mrs. Wolfe will be taken to the Simpson Creek Baptist Church, 231 W. Philadelphia Avenue, Bridgeport, WV to lie in state for 1 hour prior to the service, which will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 11:00 am with Reverend Mike Hopkins and Pastor Darren Alkire officiating.   Interment will follow in the Bridgeport Cemetery.

Ethel Marie Wolfe, 77, of Melbourne, FL, formerly of Nutter Fort, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017 in the William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay, FL.

 

She was born in Clarksburg on January 1, 1940, a daughter of the late Raymond C. and Nina E. Smith Wolfe.

 

She is survived by foster sons, Mickey Swick, Mark Barnes, Jeff Ray and Eric David Greene, all of Clarksburg; one brother, Frank Wolfe of Falls Church, VA; one sister, Nina Aylestock of Buckhannon; and several nieces and nephews.

 

She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Maurice “Jody” Wolfe, Lynn “Dick” Wolfe, Rev. Raymond “Bud” Wolfe, David Wolfe, and Nathan Wolfe; and five sisters, Alice Hornor, Garnet Leeson, Martha Stutler, Ernestine “Teeny” Snyder, and Miriam Conley.

 

Miss Wolfe was employed as a bookkeeper for Engine Machine Specialty, Craig Motor Company and Maidenform, as well as a beauty shop in Melbourne, Florida. She also worked at Brownlie Maxwell Funeral Home in Melbourne until her health no longer allowed her. Ethel also served on the Board of Directors of Criss Cross, and was a member of the Simpson Creek Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Emmanuel Christian School, 1318 N. 16th Street, Clarksburg, WV  26301.
